I had troubled mind
Searching for what I couldn't find
Chasing after dreams down a broken road
Bright lights and the girls in part
blinded me right from the start
I didn't do what already was a heavy load
So I took a one way train
and never ever comin back again
going down in the fast lane going down

Soon living was a hazy dawn
No one left to give no more
Found myself lying on the floor crying
before I danced while the music played
now in the mirey clay was laid
the only choice he'd ever made was dying
but even then as I slipped and fell
Jesus snatched me from the jaws of hell
Set me right so that I could tell what's going on
